Munnar is located in the Idukki district in
the eastern part of Kerala. It borders the state of Tamil Nadu. Munnar is
popularly called the Kashmir of the south India. It is well connected to all
cities in Kerala. Munnar is beautiful with mist-covered mountains and green
valleys. It is a hill station located in the Western Ghats. It is located at
the foot hills of Anamudi the highest in the Western Ghats and is located at a
height of 1600 to 1800 metres above sea level.
The name Munnar has been given to this
place because it is located at the convergence of three rivers. Besides
tourism, Munnar’s economy depends upon the huge tea estates and the coffee
plantations. Many pre-historic relics linking Munnar to the Stone Age have been
found. Though Munnar’s history dates back to the 10th century,
during the 17th century many people of the Tamil origin migrated to
Munnar and settled here.
Munnar is ideal for tourism. When you
manage to find time for holidaying from your busy office schedule Munnar is an
ideal getaway. It has rolling grasslands, mist-covered mountains, rivulets,
thick forests and numerous waterfalls. All these make Munnar an ideal getaway

ReplyDeleteFor the middle class person to find time to holiday is almost impossible, the busy office schedule and the expensive holiday rates make it impossible for the middle class person to dream of a holiday. Thanks to club Mahindra if you can get leave from office, you can holiday at inexpensive rates at holiday spots like Munnar, which is considered Kashmir of South India. The club Mahindra resort in Munnar is just lovely. You get a lovely view from the balcony of your room. The rooms are comfortable and spacious; the bathrooms were spacious and had hot running water. The food is very delicious. They serve South Indian delicacies and I enjoyed the food very much. Most of the food had coconut added to it, giving it additional taste.
The location is good and there are lot of activities arranged for those interested in it. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite. I enjoyed my stay very much and don’t have words to express the wonderful experience I had. The club Mahindra is your best bet for a holiday, what with comfortable rooms, good food, and lovely ambience. I loved my trip to Munnar and would recommend it to everyone.
