Corbett Weather - Season and Best Time to Visit
The climate in the Corbett National Park is temperate. Corbett National Park closes during the monsoon rainy season from Mid June to Mid November.
  • Summers (March to May): touch 40°C and the average temperature is about 30 °C. Tourists can move around the Park during this season. The scorching heat of the sun becomes quite unbearable for the animals as well as the inhabitants.
  • Monsoons (June to September) offer heavy rainfall: there can be light rainfall intermittently whole through the year. The monsoon is good to enjoy the foothills. The weather becomes quite pleasant with the drop in temperature. However, the park is closed for the tourists during the rainy season because this is primarily the mating season of most of the animals.
  • Winters (December to February): have a temperature variation of 5 °C to 30 °C. Winter mornings can be foggy. Winter months from November to February are ideal to explore the bounds of the park. During this time, the park heartily welcomes all the tourists. The weather is balmy during this time of the year.
Best period to visit here is from November to June, mainly before and after heavy monsoon. November to June is good for spotting animals and also to enjoy the scenic surroundings. July to October is good for sight seeing in the downhill region.

Club Mahindra Lake Pavna (Pawna) Resort Tungi Lonavala Maharashtra

I signed up for club Mahindra while I was on a roaming at a city mall in my hometown Bangalore. A boy approached me and asked me for my name and number, I asked him why he wanted that information, and he said there would be a lucky draw so I gave him my number. After 4 days I received a call from the Club Mahindra office informing me that I had won a complimentary holiday. I was very happy but there was a catch, I had to sign up for a Club Mahindra membership. I found the membership fee was very reasonable and the EMIs were really low. So I signed up for the holiday and have never regretted signing up for the holiday membership.

Just about 85 kms from Pune is a tiny village named Tungi. Based on the foothills of Tungi Fort and overlooking Lake Pavna and Tikona Fort gives the village a wonderful location advantage. And if you get to stay at Lake Pavna a resort by Mahindra Holidays you couldn’t be asking for anything better to cheer you up for a weekend or any other days for that matter. The property sits on the edge of the mountain giving fabulous views of pristine landscape that falls in Taluka Maval.

Lake Pavana as the resort is called is one of the latest properties introduced by Mahindra Holidays. Not very large in size and given its excellent access to Mumbai and Pune, I can imagine the demand from its members. However, if you fail to get a booking, you do have the option to stay at hotels on the main road or in Lonavala itself. The property is set on many acres. Club cars and other vehicles are at guests disposal. Rooms are excellent with many offering view of the Pavana dam and its backwaters. Only one restaurant was functional. The food was good but as expected it was expensive. And why not? Guests don’t have options to eat out unless one is willing to tackle 18 kms of bad road!

Bogged down as we are with work and family life, our holidays are spent attending to the needs of the family and visiting relatives if we manage to find time to holiday. I managed to holiday in exotic locations in India thanks to Club Mahindra, who have resorts in some 42 destinations in India and abroad. I got my Club Mahindra membership through a phone call that I got at my office informing me about the Club Mahindra tour package. The rates were so reasonable that I immediately signed up. The pristine beaches of Pondicherry also known as Pudducherry remind you the French colonial culture. This is one of the seven union territories of India. Presently Pondicherry town is the capital of the union territory. Pudducherry literally translated means new town. Popularly known as Pondy the town is a favorite destination of those who want to enjoy the pristine beaches of Pondicherry. Pondicherry is located on the Coromandel shoreline. It was ruled by the French for three centuries. Today it is a living monument of the French culture in India.

Pondicherry was a French colony from 1675 to 1954 and it became a part of the Indian union in 1954. Pondicherry was once upon a time an obscure village that later became a centre for learning. Club Mahindra Spiti Valley Eco Tourism Reviews

Spiti is known as Little Tibet because it is the same terrain, vegetation and climate. Spiti is the sub-division of the Lahaul and Spiti district with its headquarters at Kaza. Spiti means middle country in the local language. It lies between Tibet, Ladakh, Kinnaur, Lahaul & Kulu. From Shimla via Kinnaur there is a motorable road which remains open upto Kaza for 8 to 9 months. A large Tibetan population is settled in Spiti. Lahaul spiti is located at a distance of one-hundred and twenty kilometers from Manali. Since the Spiti valley is located in the rain shadow area, the weather remains pleasant in the summer months that is from May to mid-October. This is the best time to visit this valley. It rarely rains and the mercury does not go above thirty degree Celsius and does not go below fifteen degree Celsius during the summer months. One can enjoy bright sunshine wandering in the beautiful valley. There is little or no rain during the monsoon season. The days are hot and nights are cold so heavy to light woolens are recommended when travelling to this area. During winters that is from November to April it snows heavily and the temperature goes below minus.

The ideal time to visit Spiti is summer that is May to mid-October. The staple food of the people of this valley is buckwheat or Kathu as they call it. Barley, wheat and rice are also consumed. Smoking of tobacco and drinking of local liquor is common among the men folk, but is forbidden for the ladies. Spiti is an emerging tourist place and is a curious blend of culture and nature. Sphiti has a blend of Budhism and Hinduism. Lahaul and Spiti are two different valleys. While Lahaul is green and full of vegetation, Spiti is dry and like a dessert.
